It's already August and the countdown has begun for our 2018 Retreat! I am so excited for this year's PLAY.PRAY.PREVAIL retreat in the San Bernadino Mountains at the beautiful Forest Home Camp! I was there for a college retreat back in 2006 and was so touched by the presence of God there! Poised. Established. Audacious. Bold. Arrayed. Positioned. This is exactly how we left the Abba's girls retreat this year. God broke through this year for the women at the retreat in a deep and profound way, challenging us to get ready for what He is about to do this year in each of our lives.

Do we have boxes? Oh yes, and lots of them! But by God's grace we broke out of them this past November during the Abba's girls fall retreat and one of my favorite ways of breaking free was during our art workshop! The ladies who joined us were encouraged to be like little children again and have creative freedom like never before to "see" with the Holy Spirit and have fun with the chalk and paper before them. With worship music setting the atmosphere, the art came pouring from their hearts onto the paper in beautiful paste...
